Batch '86 Having Fun Get link Facebook X Pinterest Email Other Apps April 15, 2007 My high school batchmates just wouldn't let me off the hook easily - they needed a blow-out that Saturday, April 7, and at no other time!I've already had one drink too many since early morning that day, and I was already dead drunk by noon time. The rest of the afternoon I spent sleeping in Malpal where my family and friends were also having some siesta. But the text messages kept pouring. "The entire batch is waiting for you! Where are you?"No choice. I had to go find them and start another round of drinking and sheer fun. Fortunately, we were not disturbing the town. But the ghosts, yes! The videoke where we booked ourselves was just beside the cemetery. If the pictures are blurred, you know the reason. The cameraman - me, is drunk. But then again, maybe it would be fun to do a guessing game. For those familiar with my classmates, just find out who they are in the hazy photos. :-) Get link Facebook X Pinterest Email Other Apps Comments atto aryoApril 16, 2007 at 5:53 PManonymous: sakilala ko gad nan kunta mga iya kon clear anonymous: kas ano to icat magloyuan, ludith magdaraog makapiyat, manalo pulis anonymous: icat hamok ato e manguyon camera sanglit medyo klarado e face naReplyDeleteRepliesReplyAnonymousFebruary 2, 2009 at 10:46 PMkas say ba nan, day mga asuwang may gae my a klaroReplyDeleteRepliesReplyARNELFebruary 3, 2009 at 5:28 PMpadi ikat may hamuk i klaroReplyDeleteRepliesReplyAdd commentLoad more... Tribu Mananguete: Landusan Boys August 15, 2009 This was one of the entries for the school-based category. Coming from the Landusan National High School, the team was composed mainly of boys. Coached by Mr. Oniel Pelito, they wore coconut leaves woven like skirts as they simulated the tuba-gatherers. This group proved to be the most colorful and playful of the lot. And here are raw video clips of their performance. Read more
Abaknon Festival: Tribu Paragmalli August 13, 2009 If Brgy. San Luis brought crabs, this group brought a stand-out animal - the Pinoy beast of burden. But huge it may have been, it was not able to steal the thunder away from the real stars of the show - the street performers. This group won Best in Costume and Best in Performance Showcase for the barangay-based competition. Read more
Editorial: A Future For Sale May 24, 2010 Note: This post is the Administrator's take on how the recent elections went. Fair comments are welcome. From how I saw it, it was indeed an impressive election. It definitely was more peaceful than the most recent ones. Automation made the process exciting (or worrisome) but at the same time challenging. Truly, it was heartwarming to see people brave the punishing summer heat and the tiring wait just to be able to cast their votes. There is no doubt in my mind that the results reflected the Abaknons’ true democratic will. However, why they voted for whom is an entirely different issue. I wish to think that in the final analysis, they did vote with the thought of what’s best for Capul. But even with that, any voter who receives money during election time still compromises his vote. While I do not wish to rob the winners of the glory of their victory, I bet that the aftertaste of their win would have been much sweeter if they (again, i mean ALL of them) did not gi... Read more
