Bandilyo Abaknon

If you don’t know her by her real name, it must be because she is more popularly known to many Abaknons as “Bayang”. She is now based in Tokyo, and has actually lived here for years now. She already speaks fluent Nihonggo. She lives in the Kinshicho area, with her cute and bubbly son, Ken and also with her sister, Sayong.

Here’s one Abaknon worth watching out for. Roy Flores has recently graduated from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City , where he received intensive training in Acting and Musical Theatre. This month he will be starting rehearsals for a production of the Tony Award-winning musical “The King and I” in Ohio . He plans to work his way up and someday be on Broadway. He’s the son of Imelda “Mely” Flores, now residing in Chula Vista, San Diego. Roy or “Ardee” to friends, is a member of CAIS Batch 2002.

She is a daughter of the reknowned Atty. Manoling Hechanova. If she looks familiar, that’s because she was one of the more prominent guests in the Bandal-Ortego reunion last year which we featured here . May or Mahjie to friends, is married to Akio Umezawa (a Cezar Montano look-alike) and she’s been in Japan for about 13 years. They reside in the more affluent side of Tokyo. Her children Meiko Janina, 9 and Mio crystal, 5, both study in an International School here. Steve is now in Tripoli, Libya working as an Administrative Accountant at Al Nahr. Company, a Constuction & Manufacturing company being run by the Libyan government.Prior to this job, he worked in Jeddah Saudi Arabia & Doha Qatar, both middle eastern countries. Now that he has conquered North Africa, he is determined to cross over to Europe which is already very near. Steve is a member of CAIS Batch '86.
